The location of this lovely cottage is perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat in the beautiful Somerset countryside. With easy access to nearby attractions such as Wells and Stourhead, guests can enjoy exploring the local area. the hosts are incredibly accommodating, providing helpful information about the surroundings and even arranging travel cots and a high chair for families. the property itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped, ensuring a comfortable stay. Guests can also enjoy the delightful outside space, including a balcony with lovely views.

Some guests may find the bed a bit too firm for their liking.

We had a wonderful stay at the Winning Post. the property is modern, well-equipped, and spacious. the highlight for us was the amazing balcony where we could sit and enjoy the beautiful views. Rachel and Chris, the hosts, were fantastic and even introduced us to their four horses. We can't wait to book our next stay here. Cons: Couldn't stay longer 😞.

I stayed at The Winning Post with my bridesmaids and mum for two nights before my wedding, and it was the perfect place to relax before the big day. The design of the property is tastefully done, with no expense spared. The quality of the towels and bedding was lovely, and the cooking facilities were great. Everything was incredibly clean and tidy. The outside space had beautiful views and the balcony provided a moment of calm on the wedding morning. The owners left thoughtful gifts and were brilliant in all our interactions. Thank you so much!

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property. It was clean, light, and airy, with all the facilities we needed. We loved the balcony access from both bedrooms, as well as the excellent outside space with a patio and BBQ. The three bathrooms were beautiful and the photos really didn't do the property justice. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, with easy access to popular attractions such as Longleat and Cheddar Gorge. The host, Rachel, was lovely and friendly. We would totally recommend this hotel.

    It was all superb.

I recently stayed at a beautiful location called The Winning Post and had an amazing experience. The accommodation was first class - everything was spotless and looked brand new. The Christmas decorations added a lovely festive touch. The beds were exactly to my liking, with firm memory foam mattresses that ensured a restful night's sleep. The three bathrooms were well-appointed, and the towels provided were of high quality. The kitchen had everything I needed and was beautifully designed. The location was perfect for exploring Longleat and Bath. I am definitely looking forward to returning in the summer to enjoy the outdoor space and the huge balcony with stunning views. The owners, a friendly couple, deserve a lot of credit for creating such a fantastic place.

While the overall experience was fantastic, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The Wi-Fi connection was a bit unreliable at times, which was a bit frustrating.

Loved the terrace and balcony, perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Private parking was a bonus, I mean who doesn't love searching for a parking spot? And free Wi-Fi, because who doesn't want to be connected 24/7?

Oh, and the towels, they were just so. towelly, I mean who wants soft and fluffy towels anyway?

The cottage we stayed in was beautifully decorated and very clean. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. the beds were cozy and the bathrooms were spotless. We also enjoyed the peaceful location and the lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

One thing that bothered us was the initial greeting by the owner, it was a bit tense and made us feel unwelcome. the bed and pillows were quite hard and uncomfortable, which affected our sleep quality.

We had a wonderful family stay at The Winning Post for a few nights. The location was serene and offered breathtaking views of the countryside and horse fields. The house itself was beautifully designed and furnished, with comfortable beds and delightful bed linen. The well-equipped kitchen and local takeaway menus were a bonus. The patio and upstairs terrace overlooking the horse fields were perfect for relaxation. The owner, Rachel, was friendly and accommodating, and the property was impeccably clean. We can't wait to stay here again!

    We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
